About the Facility & Role
Representing a premier, state-of-the-art Neuro Rehabilitation Centre based in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, we are expanding our high-quality care beyond the clinic walls. We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Home Care Physiotherapist to provide specialized, one-on-one neurological rehabilitation to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
Position Summary
As a Home Care Therapist, you will be the primary point of care for patients recovering from complex neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. You will assess home environments, design individualized treatment plans, and work closely with patients and their families to maximize functional independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- In-Home Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough neurological evaluations in the patient's home environment, assessing mobility, strength, balance, tone, and functional limitations.
- Customized Treatment Planning: Develop and execute evidence-based physiotherapy care plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of the patient, adapting therapeutic exercises to a home setting.
- Advanced Neuro-Rehabilitation: Apply specialized neuro-physiotherapy techniques (such as NDT/Bobath, PNF, Motor Relearning Programme, etc.) to facilitate neuroplasticity and motor recovery.
- Gait & Balance Training: Implement strategies to improve postural control, gait mechanics, and fall prevention within the home environment.
- Caregiver & Family Training: Educate family members and caregivers on safe patient handling, transfer techniques, home modifications, and daily assistance to ensure a safe recovery environment.
- Progress Monitoring: Accurately document patient progress, update care plans as needed, and maintain seamless communication with the central medical team and referring neurologists.
Candidate Profile
- Education: BPT or MPT from a recognized university, with a clear specialization or strong clinical focus in Neurology.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven, hands-on experience treating neurological conditions. Previous experience in home healthcare or community-based rehab is highly advantageous.
- Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to patient homes in and around the Gachibowli area (having a personal two-wheeler is preferred).
